Our webinar series will be a year-round expansion of our flagship Civil Rights Fellowship. Throughout the year, CEO will convene our growing network of fellowship alumni for exclusive, closed-door discussions with prominent leaders in constitutional law, civil rights, and public policy. This ongoing series will provide our alumni with continuous mentorship, deep-dive discussions on emerging legal doctrine, and direct access to major figures across the legal field.
Inaugural Speaker: Former U.S. Secretary of Labor Eugene Scalia
We are honored to kick off this series on October 1st with one of the nation’s preeminent legal experts: The Honorable Eugene Scalia.
Now a partner at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, Secretary Scalia stands as one of the most distinguished administrative and labor lawyers in the country. His career spans the highest levels of government and private practice, having served as the 28th U.S. Secretary of Labor, Solicitor of Labor, and Special Assistant to the Attorney General at the U.S. Department of Justice. Recognized as a premier appellate litigator, he brings decades of distinguished experience in administrative law and high-stakes practice.
During the inaugural session of the CEO Fellowship Webinar Series, Secretary Scalia will guide our fellows through the current landscape of civil rights and employment law—examining key developments in Title VII doctrine, enforcement trends, and emerging litigation. He will also offer practical guidance on building a legal career at a major firm, balancing billable practice with pro bono civil rights work, and navigating career paths between public service and private practice.
